Monument Designer is an easy-to-use, economical monument design tool for those who want a simple, effective retail point-of-sale tool that features designs that are coordinated with stencil cutting software that can be used in manufacturing.
Start by clicking and dragging a blank monument onto the page. Click and drag carvings and panels. Click and type names and dates. Add vases and flowers. Add a background. Add your customer's contract information. Delete everything else. Save and print your work. An 18-page, illustrated tutorial uses Adobe Acrobat to make learning the process quick and simple. With version 2.0 there is also a new instructional video to guide you step-by-step through the process of creating your first monument design.

You will begin by choosing a granite color. Monument Designer Basic 2.0 features Blue/Gray, Pink, Red, Black and new Mahogany.
After choosing a granite color simply click and drag the desired monument shape into the work area. Then click and drag the desired carvings, borders, panels and vases onto the monument, letter the panels, and place the finished monument on a background photo. Add a date and signature line, and print the final page for your customer's signature.

Monuments and bases may be sized independently - allowing vases to be placed as desired. Vases, carvings and panels may also be adjusted to any size and placed in any location.
Shapes include: Serpentine Die with Base, Double Heart, Wings with Plinth/Pedestal, Single Half Serpentine with Plinth/Pedestal, Single/Individual Serpentine Die with Base, Single/Individual Heart with Base, Single and Double Slant Markers, Single and Double Bevel Markers, and Single and Double Grass Markers.

If you would like to receive demo files, please click this e-mail link and provide us with your type of graphics software, a list of formats that may work with your software (choose from AI, CDR, DWG, DXF, EPS, PLT), your name, company name, 'snail' mail address, phone and fax number (for our mailing list...we'd like to keep you apprised of future releases.) If you do not yet have a graphics program that will allow you to view or edit any of these formats please let us know. We'll be glad to recommend software and tell you how to get a free demo program.
If you receive a demo monument file via email:
Please save the attached demo file to disk. After saving the attachment return to your graphics application (for example, Gerber, Corel Draw, Flexisign, Signlab, MonuCad, etc.) and import or open the attachment in that program. Do not attempt to open your demo monument file while you are still in email. Email applications, such as Outlook Express, do not recognize vector formats such as these, and you will receive an error message. Please email us or call 800 736 7455 if you have any questions. Our friendly staff will be glad to assist you.

You should see samples of Modified Roman, Condensed Roman and Vermarco letters.

After copying the file go to the Desktop > My Computer > Hard Drive/C: > Click the name of the font (Dt100019.gsf). Click Edit > Copy.
Click the Back Arrow (at top, to go back to where you see all drives); double click C: > GSP folder > GSP FONT folder; and click Edit > Paste. After the transfer is complete, close the window. Close Gerber™ Composer if it is open. The new fonts will not appear in the font listing until Composer is reopened after font installation.

License Designs For Your Web Site
D-Mart designs may be licensed for use on web sites. Please e-mail or call Design Mart to negotiate the number of designs and annual rates. You will be assigned a license number that must be displayed on any page displaying D-Mart designs.
Software Warranty & Protection Plan
Software Warranty:
30 day media guarantee. All disks & CDs are guaranteed for 30 days from date of purchase, and will be replaced at no cost. Any disks found faulty, damaged or incompatible after 30 days are not eligible for free replacement. Magnetic disks (diskettes) and optical disks (CDs and DVDs) can fail. Wear and exposure to electromagnetic fields (monitors, speakers, etc.) can affect magnetic disks and scratches and deterioration of the dye used in CDs and DVDs can cause them to fail without warning. There are also known compatibility issues due to CD recording speeds, CD manufacturing techniques, changes in drives, and changes in Windows that are beyond our control. CD-Rs are created with a laser heating a dye to form the pits and bands that are the physical equivalent of the magnetic 0s and 1s. CD-RWs are created with a laser melting and re-crystallizing an aluminum alloy to form the pits and bands - and the alloy promptly starts to de-crystallize, taking data with it. In addition, a combination of XP and Vista compatibility and CD-RW packet-writing issues have been known to cause problems. Before ordering replacement CDs, you may wish to try one of the recovery programs such as cdroller at www.cdroller.com or ISOBuster www.isobuster.com. Both have a "trial" version that helps determine if anything can be recovered from a CD.
No electronically delivered files are eligible for free replacement at any time. Please take care when downloading, using, and archiving these files.

Design Mart's protection plan offers a convenient and cost-effective replacement of any of your CDs that are lost, damaged or stolen. Most insurance policies cover damage or theft, but if you are uninsured Design Mart is there to help.
This one-time replacement service requires proof of purchase. If you do not have a paid invoice or returned check, Design Mart's staff can search invoices from the past 10 years for you at a cost of $25. If a search using a second company name is required each additional search costs $25. Search fees apply even if no invoice is found.
Protection Plan applies to CDs as well as files (such as designs and fonts) that have been emailed to your company.
