Elbert Theatre Foundation

The Elbert Theatre Foundation needed a cost-effective pamphlet to assist with fundraising efforts for theatre renovation. Design Mart took a box full of old newspaper clippings and a handful of architectural renderings and estimates and transformed it into a brochure that has helped raise nearly a quarter of a million dollars.

Before digital presses made short color runs cost effective we helped clients like the Theatre Foundation achieve a color look at half the cost. One side of the piece ran in full color, while the other side, containing black and white photos and text, was run in black only. A self-mail panel was added for convenience in fundraising efforts. An old newspaper photo treated as a sepia/duo tone maximized the full color printing running on this side and gave a warm, historic feel to the piece.
The logo was also created based on the art deco look of the theatre and the original Lucas and Jenkins logo on the marquee. Design Mart was also instrumental in designing the new marquee as well as the new stage proscenium and lobby/gallery interior.
