First Ever: Web Hosting Price Increase In 2020
Design Mart has designed, built and hosted websites since 1996. After more than 20 years of designing custom sites that involved larger budgets, we decided to offer an easy, affordable website and hosting plan for smaller businesses. In 2012, we launched Design Mart Hosting for the purpose of providing monument-specific websites and services at a flat rate.
Our flat rate includes:
- Researching and reserving your domain name
- Renewing your domain every year so no one else takes it
- Designing and building your site
- Hosting your site
- Making monthly changes to your site (approx. 1 hour of work per month) for adding photos, sales, promotions, pictures, text, etc.
There are no upfront development fees, which easily reach into thousands of dollars with most web design and hosting companies. We established a very affordable price, and our customers have been very pleased with it.
Over time, server space and bandwidth expenses have crept up, but we have never raised prices since we began in 2012. In 2020 we will raise monthly prices from $35.00 to $41.00 in order to cover expenses.*
We appreciate our customers and remind you to please send in updates for your site on a regular basis. We are happy to help you keep your site up-to-date and make it effective as a sales tool. We're happy to report that most of our customers' sites result in 410 views per month.
Server space also affects our Legacy Version of our Online Catalog & Monument Designer. Most of our customers have this feature connected to their sites, and they will notice a monthly increase from $29.00 to $34.00.*
